Various newsletter-type publications have been produced over the years about Lundy. All are collectable and some are rare.

The longest-running series – which is still being published – is the Newsletter of the Lundy Field Society. It started in 1975 and was renamed in 2012 Discovering Lundy: the Bulletin of the Lundy Field Society. You can access all the editions at the LFS website at https://lundy.org.uk/resources/newsletter-and-bulletin-archive-1.

Of the privately produced publications, the earliest – and rarest – was the Lundy Review, edited by Stanley Smith, which ran for six editions from 1957 to 1960.

In 1970, after the Harman family had sold Lundy and it was being managed by the Landmark Trust, the Illustrated Lundy News was launched. Starting in the Summer of 1970, it ran for 16 editions until 1975.

The last publication (apart from official Landmark Trust newsletters to registered supporters) was the Lundy Island Chronicle. This was started in Spring 1983, with the sixth and final edition appearing in Spring 1988.

All these publications contained valuable first-hand accounts of life and developments on Lundy, continuing research into Lundy’s history, and coverage of Lundy’s philatelic history and new stamp issues.

We are making these publications available as searchable PDFs so that Lundy enthusiasts and researchers can easily access these important resources. We are very grateful to Derek Green for permission to do so where the copyright lies with the Landmark Trust. If any other copyright material has been used inadvertently, the Lundy Collectors Club apologises and would be pleased to be informed.
